3 lengths in the REGULAR rise (approx 9.5" rise) or
2 lengths in the new LOWER rise (approx 8.5" rise).

RISE OVERVIEW The rise on our regular rise board shorts (distance from top of waistband to the bottom of crotch seam as measured along the center of the short's front) is about 9.5" on a size 8. For the lower rise style, the rise on a size 8 is approx 8.5". These meaurements vary a little more or less based on smaller or larger sizes. As a point of reference, Victoria's Secret has a "rise guide" on their website with the following info:

7" to 8.5"	sits ulta low on waist
*8.5 to 9.5"*	*sits low on waist*
10" to 11"	sits at waist
11" to 12"	sits above the waist
