    CHOOSE YOUR RISE:

The rise on our regular rise board (swim) shorts (distance from top of waistband to the bottom of crotch seam as measured along the center of the short's front) is about 9.5" on a size 8. For the lower rise style, the rise on a size 8 is approx 8.5".  These meaurements vary a little more/less based on larger/smaller sizes.  As a point of reference, Victoria's Secret has a "rise guide" on their website with the following info:
